The video installation LFS exists thanks to a long three-steps scanned process. The first in April 2020, during the lockdown, in which we launched a call on social media, inviting anyone to send us three questions, the result of personal reflections with respect to the period we were living. 36 people from 19 countries of the world participated and 114 applications were collected. In the second phase, the questions were transcribed on letters, exchanged and sent by post to the same 36 participants.
In the third phase of the project, each participant shot a short video when he opened the letter and answered the questions. The video installation is composed of the material and visual traces of this process: a wall composed of 36 sheets that create a 6x6 square, on which the videos of the questions and answers are projected. The sheets are handwritten and collect all 114 questions. The videos follow one another at intervals, and every now and then the room is invaded by silence and a blue light, which highlights keywords on the wall. Above a small table of sheets, envelopes and an urn to put them.
